Thank You Letter from HSA School Year 2018-2019

Welcome New and Returning Families! We are delighted to have you back this school year. We are excited work with you for the continuous growth of our children spiritually, mentally and physically.

I would like to invite you to attend our New Parents’ Social and HSA meeting on Sept 26, 2019 – Thursday at 7PM in the Cafeteria. This is a good opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss the HSA activities/ fundraisers lined up to help the school. New families will be receiving invites from the mail. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

You may bring your child in their pajamas as we will provide Childcare Story Telling . I too have coordinated a special guest to greet you as you drop off your kids at Conlon Hall. Please come in early so you could hang out with them for a few before our meeting. 

We have made a good stride last year and aim to do the same if not surpass it this school year. Without your support, all of these plans are not going to work.

I am very proud to present to you our biggest accomplishment to date. We have managed to update one of the girls’ bathrooms in Conlon Hall. We made $12K for this project and with the help of companies who donated their brands/products, our very own St John the Evangelist Church who also contributed and all the people involved, this was achieved. Next up is the boys’ bathroom this summer and we will need all the help we could get.

  • You will be receiving a SAVE AROUND coupon book. We are selling this for $25, but we are getting $12.50 profit each book. Please browse and see if it’s something your family can use. If not, please return to the school.
  • We have 20 service hours to complete for 10 months, but before you could volunteer, you must have PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN (first timers) or KEEPING THE PROMISE ALIVE (renewal) certificates. Our school will be sponsoring one on Saturday 9/14/19 at the Conlon Hall. We will serve coffee and some light refreshments. Please see flyer or contact ROSEMARIE FLOOD (St John Religious Educ. Director) at 201-384-3601.
  • Fall Book Fair starts on 9/24 – Tuesday (set up & teacher’s preview); 9/25 – 9/27 actual book sale days. We need volunteers . Online sign up will be available soon. You don’t have to spend your whole day. A couple of hours here and there will help. It is a very fun and fulfilling activity. This year, we are giving away reusable bags to the first 100 kids/families who will make a purchase. ARCTIC ADVENTURE is our theme!
